The most important thing of the Museum of Prehistory and Archaeology of Cantabria is its collection of Upper Paleolithic art, one of the richest in the world. However, this is not all you will find in it. The oldest remains of the museum come from the Cave of El Castillo, with more than 100,000 years old. We also found the Mousterian tools of between 100000 and 40000 years, and all kinds of pieces of Mesolithic periods, the Chalcolithic or the Bronze Age.
